Abbas Araghchi: Iranian leadership prepared scenario in case of Ali Khamenei assassination before war began

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that even before the start of military actions, the country's leadership considered all possible scenarios for the development of events, including the possibility of the assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

According to the head of the foreign policy department, a clear action plan was developed in advance for such an outcome, which would allow the Iranian leadership to respond immediately and avoid the factor of surprise. Araghchi emphasized that the authorities were not caught off guard and demonstrated readiness for any development of the situation.

The minister also noted that during the meetings of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, the issue of the possible elimination of the supreme leader was not directly mentioned. Instead, the members of the Security Council used a special code designation "code 110", the true meaning of which was known in advance to all participants of the meetings.
