Trump acknowledges that Iran still has missiles and UAVs
American President Donald Trump acknowledged that Iran, despite strikes by the U.S. Armed Forces, still has a stock of missiles and drones, and also retains some capabilities for producing weapons.
"They have some missiles. They have some drones. They have some production facilities, not too many," he told reporters at Andrews military base near Washington.
"We control the [Hormuz] Strait, and they control nothing," the American leader asserted. "We'll see what happens. But tonight we are striking them again with a very powerful blow."
The U.S. and Israel began the war with Iran on February 28. In June, Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding providing for an immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon. However, on the night of July 8, the U.S. resumed large-scale strikes on Iran, accusing it of violating the terms of the agreements reached regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
