Pentagon reports new losses in conflict with Iran
The total number of American servicemen killed in the armed conflict with Iran has increased to 17.
This was reported by the Associated Press (AP) agency.
CENTCOM informed about the death of an American serviceman in Iraq on July 18 during the "controlled detonation" of ammunition from a downed Iranian drone. On July 17, according to the command, two US military personnel were killed in Jordan while repelling an Iranian attack. At the same time, another American serviceman went missing, and on July 19 the command reported the discovery of human remains in the area of the last Iranian strike.
Official losses may increase to 18 people killed, AP clarifies.
The total number of US military personnel wounded during the fighting against Iran has exceeded 400.
