Argentine president announces day off in country after defeat in world cup final

Argentine President Javier Milei said he is ready to declare a national day off if the national team players want to celebrate the results achieved at the football World Cup together with Argentines.

"In connection with the wide interest in celebrations on the occasion of what was achieved by the Argentine national team, I inform the population that depending on the decision that the players and coaching staff will make regarding the day of celebrations, this day will be declared a national day off," he wrote on the social network X.
