Nine people die in Pakistan in a day due to downpours
At least nine people died over the past 24 hours due to downpours and incidents caused by them on the territory of Pakistan.
The National Disaster Management Authority of the Islamic Republic reported this.
According to its information, six people became victims of the natural disaster in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Another three people died in the north of the country in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir region. Water flows also destroyed 28 residential houses.
In July, the monsoon season began in Pakistan. Usually it lasts until September, bringing heavy rains that are vital for agriculture, but often lead to floods and other natural disasters.
