Son of Azerbaijani diaspora activist heads Kyiv region

A native of Ukraine of Azerbaijani origin, Timur Tkachenko (Mamedov), has been appointed head of the Kyiv region.

As reported by Report, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the corresponding submission of President Vladimir Zelensky.

Timur Tkachenko is the son of Firudin Mamedov, one of the activists of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Ukraine.

Note that Timur Tkachenko was born on August 18, 1989, in Kyiv. Previously, he held the position of deputy minister for strategic sectors of industry of Ukraine, and then headed the Kyiv City Military Administration.
