In Armenia two servicemen detained in case of death of fellow soldier

In the case of the death of serviceman Narek Torosyan, two of his fellow servicemen have been detained, reports the publication ArmLur.am.

Criminal prosecution has been initiated against the soldiers.

According to the publication, the serviceman was driven to suicide. According to preliminary data, shortly before the tragedy he was beaten, after which he took his own life. The deceased serviceman was on combat positions for the first time, and, according to the preliminary version, this became fatal for him.

The day before, the Investigative Committee reported that a criminal case had been opened regarding the death of a serviceman of military unit N of the Ministry of Defense, recorded on July 21. The department stated that the necessary investigative and procedural actions are being carried out.

It is noted that the serviceman was a resident of the city of Charentsavan. He studied at the journalism faculty of the Russian-Armenian University.
