Araghchi calls on world countries not to participate in US aggression against Iran

Any country that participates in US aggression against Iran or assists in striking the Islamic Republic will become a legitimate target for Iranian armed forces, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said at a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Cholpon-Ata.

“Iran reaffirms its firm determination to defend the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the country and states that any participation, cooperation or assistance in committing aggression against Iran will entail international responsibility for the relevant parties,” Araghchi is quoted by the Telegram channel of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. According to him, Tehran reserves the right to take all necessary measures within the framework of self-defense and will consider any party that participated in the aggression as a legitimate target for the armed forces.

The head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry called on the SCO countries for unity, cooperation and urged not to allow “aggression to replace diplomacy, force to replace law, and double standards to replace justice.” “A safe, stable and just future can only be achieved when we all defend the rule of law, equality of states, respect for the sovereignty of countries and the dignity of peoples with one voice,” he added.
