In Russia, the grounds for deporting migrants have been expanded. What was included in the list?
The Federation Council approved a law that almost doubles the list of administrative offenses for which foreign citizens can be deported from Russia.
The document provides for increasing the number of relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Offenses from 22 to 45. For a number of offenses, separate sanctions are introduced in the form of a fine and administrative deportation if they were committed by a foreign citizen.
In particular, deportation will be threatened for participation in unauthorized rallies, discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, calls for the introduction of sanctions against Russia and its citizens, as well as public calls for violation of the territorial integrity of the country.
In addition, such a measure is provided for violation of the requirements of the emergency regime, counter-terrorism operation or martial law, shooting in places not designated for that purpose, creating obstacles to the movement of transport, disobedience to the lawful demands of law enforcement officers, petty hooliganism, discrimination and disobedience to the lawful demands of officials of border control authorities.
The law also extends the possibility of administrative deportation to a number of offenses related to extremist activities and the dissemination of prohibited information. This concerns, in particular, the desecration of religious symbols, incitement of hatred or enmity, propaganda or public display of extremist and Nazi symbols, production and distribution of extremist materials, use of audiovisual services to disseminate calls for terrorism, as well as abuse of freedom of mass information to disseminate prohibited content.
