Israel releases 60 detained residents of Gaza Strip
Israeli authorities have completed the procedure of releasing 60 Palestinian detainees who were held in the Ofer and Sde Teiman prisons.
The released individuals were delivered to the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom checkpoint accompanied by representatives of the Red Cross for further transportation to a medical facility in Deir al-Balah. This was reported by the publication The Times of Israel.
Official comments regarding the reasons for the release of the group are not provided by the authorities, however, according to available information, it concerns individuals against whom, during checks, sufficient evidence was not found for initiating criminal cases or bringing charges of terrorist activity.
