Air quality in France seriously worsened due to forest fires

Air quality in southwestern France has worsened due to forest fires.

The newspaper Le Figaro reported this.

A serious exceedance of established indicators was recorded in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. “In four departments — Gironde, Landes, Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne — the threshold figures for pollution with fine particles have been increased,” the article says. It is clarified that air quality continues to decline due to the inability to cope with natural fires, as well as weather conditions that contribute to smoke concentration.

Local residents complained that they suffer from smoke causing suffocation and a burning sensation in the eyes.
