Seven people killed in helicopter crash in Argentina

Seven people were killed in the crash of a helicopter used to fight forest fires in the Argentine province of San Juan.

This was reported by Argentina's Federal Emergency Agency and the regional government.

"This morning, a Bell 412 helicopter chartered by the Federal Emergency Agency crashed in the area of Ischigualasto Park in the province of San Juan," the agency said in a statement.

According to the agency, the helicopter was heading to the province of La Rioja to assist in extinguishing a forest fire. The crash site was discovered by another aircraft.

The causes of the crash are being determined.
