Trump does not intend to end the war against Iran over strikes on U.S. bases
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is not considering ending the military operation against Iran as a result of Tehran's strikes on American bases in the Middle East.
He made the statement while answering questions from journalists at the White House.
"I don't see that [scenario]," Trump said in response to a question about whether he was considering withdrawing American troops after the Iranian strikes. "Will I always strike back? Essentially, yes," the American leader added.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported on July 28 that it had intercepted Iranian ballistic missiles. Earlier, Barak Ravid, a correspondent for the Axios portal and Israel's Channel 12, citing an American official, reported that Iran had fired missiles at a U.S. military base in Jordan.
