World championship: Ibrahim Gasanov to fight for gold today

Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Gasanov will hold the final match today at the U-17 World Championship in Baku.

As reported by the tournament press service, the athlete competing in the weight category up to 51 kg will meet Iranian Binyamin Maivan in the gold medal match.

The World Wrestling Championship, taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, will conclude today.

Earlier, Greco-Roman wrestlers Ali Djavadly (45 kg), Abdurrahman Guseinli (51 kg) and Isfahan Gasanov (80 kg) won silver medals, Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkezov (60 kg) and Orkhan Khabibli (65 kg) became bronze medalists.
