Civil Contract party nominates Pashinyan for prime minister of Armenia
The Civil Contract party nominated Nikol Pashinyan as a candidate for prime minister of Armenia immediately after the technical resignation of the government.
According to Armenian media, the political force that formed the majority in the newly elected National Assembly of the 9th convocation presented a package of necessary documents to the president. The procedure is being carried out in accordance with Article 149 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia to comply with the procedure for appointing the head of the cabinet of ministers.
Recall that earlier today at the first meeting of the parliament, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a statement on the resignation of the government, whose members continue to perform their duties until the formation of a new composition.
