Iran says Pakistan remains mediator in contacts with the U.S.

Pakistan remains the sole mediator in facilitating contacts between Tehran and Washington, and there are no new participants in this process.

This was reported by Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei.

"Pakistan is the mediator in all consultations concerning Iran and the United States. Qatar also provides assistance in cases where it is necessary," he said during a briefing. According to Baghaei, a number of other countries, including China, sometimes also provide assistance, but it cannot be said that new mediators have been added to this process.
