Yerevan comments on reports about creating a center for illegal migrants from the EU

The question of creating a center in Armenia for holding illegal migrants from European Union member states has not been discussed with Yerevan.

This was reported by the press secretary of Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, in response to an inquiry from the state agency "Armenpress."

"We have not received such a proposal, this issue has not been discussed with us," she noted.

On August 3, Euronews reported that on August 4, during a meeting of the EU Council, a proposal would be put forward for discussion on creating facilities for holding illegal migrants in some countries, including Armenia.
