Israeli army destroys tunnel in the Gaza Strip where rockets were stored

Israeli forces have destroyed an underground tunnel in the Gaza Strip, the army press service reported.

The site was located in the south of the enclave and was blown up through the joint efforts of paratrooper and engineering units. According to the army, radical Palestinian groups used this underground passage to store dozens of rockets.

"Israel Defense Forces troops under the Southern Command are deployed in this area in accordance with the terms of the ceasefire [agreement] and will continue to take measures to eliminate any immediate threats," the military stated.
