Azerbaijan Railways prepares an additional service and expands the ticket sales window to Georgia
Azerbaijan Railways CJSC is extending the ticket sales period for the international Baku - Tbilisi - Baku route in order to further increase passenger satisfaction, meet high demand more effectively, and expand opportunities for advance trip planning.
As reported by Azerbaijan Railways, under the new mechanism, the sales period is being extended not all at once, but in stages.
Currently, ticket sales are open to passengers 44 days in advance instead of the previous 30.
In the coming days, the sales window will be gradually expanded and brought to 90 days, 1news.az reports.
This innovation will allow passengers to plan their trips significantly earlier, as well as to prepare with greater comfort for tours, business trips, and visits to relatives. At the same time, the extension of the sales period will enable ADY to forecast passenger flow more accurately and, if necessary, to make prompt operational decisions in a timely manner, including the assignment of additional cars.
ADY is continuing work on organizing an additional service on the Baku - Tbilisi - Baku route. To launch the additional service, the necessary technical and operational work is being carried out in connection with the completion of preparations by the Georgian side.
