Insider Fabrizio Romano says he will no longer write about transfers

Leading football insider Fabrizio Romano may stop working as a journalist covering transfer news after this summer.

This was reported by Goal, citing the LinkedIn account of the 33-year-old Romano.

"I probably won't be working in the transfer market field in this format anymore. It's time to change the approach and the vision. I will talk about it in more detail later, after the transfer window closes. The numbers for this period seem unreal," Romano wrote.

Currently, Romano posts various insider information and transfer news on his social media. The summer transfer window will close in Europe's leading leagues on September 1.

Romano is the most well-known insider writing about transfers. He has 28.7 million followers on the social network X, 49.1 million on Instagram (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) and 3.24 million on YouTube.

The Italian is known for his signature phrase "here we go," which is a sign that clubs have reached an agreement on a player's transfer.
