Belarus does not want to fight, Lukashenko said

Belarus does not want to fight and will do everything to preserve peace, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"We will do everything so that there is peace, we do not want to fight. Why? Because Belarus is a common home, everyone lives here (representatives of different nationalities and faiths - ed.) and they live normally," said Lukashenko, as quoted by the Belta agency.

According to him, Belarus will live peacefully if it does not take what belongs to others and put it in its pockets, but works and strengthens the country.

"The main thing is the economy. That is why I always tell you: just give me one thing - the economy, everything else is up to me," he added.
