39-year-old Vardy could return to his home club Sheffield Wednesday

The English club Sheffield Wednesday hopes to bring forward Jamie Vardy back to its ranks.

According to talkSPORT, citing the club's chairman of the board of directors David Storch, the management is interested in signing the 39-year-old player. Storch noted that the club would be glad to see the player on the team, but due to current financial restrictions, the management has to look for special ways to put together a suitable offer.

Jamie Vardy is a product of Sheffield Wednesday's youth system. The forward spent the main part of his career at Leicester City, with whom he became champion of England in the 2015/16 season.
