Premier League: Neftchi routs Araz-Nakhchivan in round 2
Baku's Neftchi secured a crushing victory over Araz-Nakhchivan in a match of the 2nd round of the Azerbaijan Premier League.
As 1news.az reports, the game at the Palms Sports Arena in Baku ended with a 5-0 win for the hosts.
The goals for the capital club were scored by Breno Almeida in the 14th and 17th minutes, Falaye Sacko in the 35th minute, Igor Ribeiro in the 41st minute and Andrew Gravillon in the 90+1st minute.
In the first round, Neftchi beat Sumgayit (3-1), while Araz-Nakhchivan drew with Imishli - 0-0.
In the first match of the day, Turan Tovuz and Shamakhi were unable to determine a winner (0-0).
In the previous matches of the round, Shafa won away against Gabala (1-0), and Zira proved stronger than Imishli at home (3-1). Since Sabah and Qarabag are competing in European cups, their matches in this round against Sumgayit and Kapaz, respectively, were postponed.
