Pashinyan calls for an end to using the "Armenian genocide" issue as a political weapon

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, speaking in the National Assembly, sharply criticized the actions of foreign policy players who use the topic of the "Armenian genocide" to achieve their own geopolitical goals, Armenian Telegram channels report.

The head of the Armenian government commented on the diplomatic steps of the Israeli leadership, pointing to their inconsistency:

"Just recently, the Israeli government began the process of recognizing the 'Armenian genocide' with the utmost determination, and then, with the same determination, halted this process."

Pashinyan emphasized that such actions by international actors harm Armenia itself, turning the people's historical tragedy into an instrument of pressure:

"We all saw, we had to see, that international players are hitting us over the head with the remains of our martyrs, but it is our head that hurts. They use the bones of our martyrs as weapons, they shoot at each other with them, but it is we who die."

In conclusion, the prime minister called for a reconsideration of approaches and emphasized the need to put an end to the practice of using the topic of the "Armenian genocide" as a political tool on the international stage.
