Azerbaijan claims third straight win at the European Championship
Azerbaijan's women's national volleyball team has claimed its third straight win at the European Championship, whose Group C matches are being held in Baku.
As İdman.Biz reports, in the third round the national team defeated Romania 3-2.
The Azerbaijani players won the first two sets - 25:21 and 25:23. However, their opponents managed to level the score, taking the next two sets - 25:15 and 25:22. The outcome of the match was decided in the tie-break, where the Azerbaijani team won convincingly - 15:8.

Earlier, the team defeated Portugal (3:1) and Spain (3:0). Thus, the Azerbaijani national team has won all three of its opening matches and collected eight points.
In the next round, on August 26, Azerbaijan will face Belgium, and on August 28 it will play the Netherlands.
In another match of the day, the Netherlands beat Portugal 3:0.
The standings: Azerbaijan - 8 points, Belgium and the Netherlands - 5 each, Romania - 2, Spain - 1, Portugal - 0.
Group C matches are being held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.
