Pashinyan: No peacekeepers will enter Armenia
CSTO peacekeepers, and foreign peacekeepers in general, will not enter Armenia, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated.
Earlier, he stated that in the next five years Armenia does not plan to return to the CSTO and would be glad if the organization expelled it.
“The opposition has a very specific mission — to secure the entry of CSTO peacekeepers into Armenia. I will disappoint you: CSTO peacekeepers will not enter Armenia,” Pashinyan noted on Tuesday during his closing speech in parliament on the government program for 2026-2031, approved on August 20.
According to him, CSTO peacekeepers will not enter Armenia, and no peacekeepers at all will enter Armenia, because peace has been established.
“The peacekeepers are the peoples. Yes, including the people of Armenia and the people of Azerbaijan, who are the most reliable peacekeepers. No foreign peacekeeper will enter the territory of Armenia. And this is the Fourth Republic,” Pashinyan said.
The prime minister emphasized that this is exactly what distinguishes the Fourth Republic.
“The Fourth Republic does not walk among various geopolitical poles and does not beg for the right to its existence. The Fourth Republic earns its right to live, develop and exist through daily work,” he said.
