Trump names a possible candidate for U.S. president

U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested that Republican Senator from Texas Ted Cruz could run for the office of head of state in the 2028 election.

"I think he might do it," Trump confirmed at the White House, answering a reporter's question on the matter. The president noted that he considers the senator "talented."
