Oil tanker attacked in the Strait of Hormuz

An oil tanker has come under attack in the Strait of Hormuz.

As 1news.az reports citing ISNA, this was announced by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center of the British Navy.

It is noted that the oil tanker was subjected to an air attack while passing through the Strait of Hormuz toward the Persian Gulf.

Who carried out the attack has not been reported.

Earlier, a statement by the Navy of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) noted that statements by American officials about the Strait of Hormuz being open do not correspond to reality.

Recall that U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Strait of Hormuz is open.
