Trump says he is not afraid of assassination attempts
U.S. President Donald Trump said that he acknowledges the risks of his position and does not live in fear of being shot.
"It's a dangerous profession. (...) Only influential presidents get shot at or shot. And I am very influential. We changed the whole world, we saved our country," Trump said in an interview with Fox News.
He noted that he does not live in fear after the assassination attempts he has survived.
In Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024, during a campaign rally, Trump was wounded in the right ear by a rifle shot.
On April 25 of this year, at a hotel in Washington during a dinner honoring media workers, a 31-year-old Californian opened fire. The president was not injured at the time, and the attacker was detained by U.S. Secret Service officers.
