Ashotyan remains under house arrest

In Armenia, the house arrest of opposition figure and deputy chairman of the Republican Party Armen Ashotyan has been extended for another three months.

Prosecutor Mane Safaryan petitioned to extend the house arrest, as she believes that if an alternative preventive measure were applied, Ashotyan could obstruct the process of proving his guilt and influence the witnesses in the case.
