Unknown assailants fire rockets at a thermal power plant in Germany
Unknown assailants fired homemade rockets carrying explosives at an electrical substation of a thermal power plant in the municipality of Jänschwalde in the federal state of Brandenburg in eastern Germany.
This was reported by the Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung, citing its own sources.
According to the publication, several homemade devices were discovered near the power plant, which is the largest in the region and runs on coal. They were subsequently defused.
It is not ruled out that the attackers planned to disable the electrical substation and cut power to generating unit E.
However, they failed to carry out this plan. At the same time, at least one of the rockets hit the substation.
