Shooting in downtown Minneapolis: DETAILS

Two people were killed and at least five others were wounded in a shooting in downtown Minneapolis.

The suspected shooter also died.

According to police, the report of the shooting came in at around 4:30 p.m. local time (01:36 Baku time). Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found one victim in a multi-story residential building.

Upon hearing gunshots, the officers went up to the building's upper floors. As a police spokesperson clarified, visibility on one of the levels was limited due to a thick haze. As a result, one officer was wounded in the leg, and two more police officers were also injured.

According to media reports, the suspected shooter died of a gunshot wound that he presumably inflicted on himself.

The motive for the incident has not yet been established. Sources reported that the man had been evicted from his apartment on Wednesday afternoon.
