Pashinyan: Armenia does not intend to repeal the law on starting the EU accession process

Armenia is not going to abandon the law on starting the country's process of joining the European Union.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at a briefing.

According to him, the decision to initiate this law was made by civil society.

"The adoption of this law was the right step. And I assess the ongoing process as positive… Who is saying now, 'Who needs Armenia, it has nowhere to go'? But before the law was adopted, such statements did take place," Pashinyan said.

The prime minister believes that thanks to this law Armenia has achieved serious results in foreign policy.

"There are partners who say: 'Maybe you should repeal it.' I reply that this is impossible. Because here there is not only the political will of the parliament, but also of the Armenian people," the head of government stated.
