Israel Katz: Israel will strike Iran's energy infrastructure in case of an attack
Israel will not restrain itself in the event of an attack by Iran and will strike the entire infrastructure of the Islamic Republic, including energy facilities, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said at a meeting with Defense Ministry staff on the occasion of the upcoming holiday of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
«We are seeing signs that the powerful economic pressure Iran is under, and the fear of an uprising and the collapse of the regime, may push them toward desperate measures,» Katz said.
According to him, in the event of an Iranian strike on Israel, Tel Aviv would respond without restrictions.
«An Iranian attack toward Israel would free us from any restraints, we would strike the entire infrastructure, including the energy infrastructure, and return Iran to the Stone Age and darkness,» the minister threatened.
