Adam Telle to become acting secretary of the U.S. Army
American President Donald Trump has announced that Adam Telle will serve as acting secretary of the U.S. Army.
"I am pleased to announce that Adam Telle, who serves as assistant secretary of the Army for civil works, will from this moment serve as acting secretary of the Army," the American leader noted on Truth Social. Trump called Telle a patriot who is "respected by all."
Until recently, the secretary of the U.S. Army was Daniel Driscoll. On August 31, The Wall Street Journal reported that he had submitted his resignation. According to the Axios portal, Driscoll was pushed to leave his post by disagreements with Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth.
The secretary of the U.S. Army is responsible, in particular, for its logistical support, as well as for the financial resources at its disposal. The secretaries of the U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Army are not members of the presidential cabinet.
