The U.S. wants to make the world pay for the chaos it created in Hormuz — Iran's Foreign Ministry
The Strait of Hormuz remained completely open until February 28, when the United States and Israel attacked Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said.
«Washington unleashed an unlawful and savage war against the region, disrupting the normal flow of commercial shipping: tankers are halted, trade is paralyzed, and energy prices are rising. Now the U.S. is trying to hand the world the bill for a crisis it created itself, and to pin Iran's name on it,» Baqaei wrote on the social network X.
He noted that, according to Washington's version, Iran's own behavior is somehow to blame for the war «unleashed by the United States.»
«America started the war, but expects the entire world to pay the bills, while portraying Iran as the culprit behind the chaos. This is utterly absurd!» the diplomat emphasized.
