Turkey continues to battle forest fires

Wildfires in the southern Turkish provinces of Antalya and Mersin have been partially contained, while in Adana the fight against the flames continues.

This was reported by Turkey's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

"We have reduced the intensity of the fires that began in areas outside the forested zones in the Aksu and Kumluca districts of Antalya, as well as in the Bozyazi district of Mersin. Work aimed at fully containing the blazes is continuing," the statement said.

It is noted that the fight against the fire in the Kozan district of Adana is continuing without interruption.

"Our teams are fighting with all available means in order to bring the fire under control as soon as possible," the agency stated.
