The U.S. destroyed five Iranian tankers

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on its social network X that it had destroyed five Iranian crude oil tankers in response to Iran's ballistic missile attacks on a U.S. Navy warship.

Four tankers were attacked in the Gulf of Oman, and one more near Kharg Island.

Against the backdrop of the strikes, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) threatened attacks on oil tankers off the coasts of Kuwait and Bahrain. The IRGC also called on vessels located in these areas to leave the waters immediately.
