Iranian military seizes U.S. submarine near the Strait of Hormuz

Servicemen of the Navy of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have seized one of the most modern unmanned submarines of the U.S. Armed Forces at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.

This was reported by the Telegram channel of the IRIB News outlet.

The submarine in question is the Dive-LD, developed by the company Anduril Industries. According to the IRGC, the vehicle entered service with the American fleet in 2025 and is equipped with modern underwater navigation technologies. To seize the submarine, the Iranian military carried out complex reconnaissance and operational actions.

Earlier, the IRGC reported that it had attacked an unmanned U.S. surface vehicle. This happened at the moment when the drone was trying to enter the protected zone of the Strait of Hormuz.
