Katz promised the "liberation of Tehran"
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz addressed the Jewish community of Iran on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.
He stated that next year the situation in Tehran could change radically.
"Next year in Tehran we will be free from oppression and tyranny," Katz said.
At the same time, the minister issued a stern warning to the Iranian leadership. He stated that any attack on Israel, regardless of the reason or the location, would entail a large-scale response.
Katz also noted that in the event of a new attack, Israel could strike Iran's key energy facilities. According to him, such a strike could set the country back decades and increase pressure on the Iranian regime.
