Medvedev: Lithuania will disappear from the world map in the event of a conflict with Russia
In the event of a military conflict with Russia, Lithuania will disappear from the world map.
This was stated by the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, on "Max."
According to him, if Article 5 of the treaty establishing NATO, which enshrines the principle of collective defense, is invoked, it will lead to a global catastrophe of planetary scale. "They are not fools. But Lithuania will disappear from the world map [in the event of a military conflict with Russia]," he said.
He also emphasized that Moscow would have to respond if Vilnius decided to abandon its non-nuclear status.
