Italy may bring back Russian gas

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini has called for resuming purchases of Russian gas after the end of the war in Ukraine.

In an interview with "Vesti" and TASS, he stated that energy prices speak for themselves, suggesting a comparison of current expenses with those of a few years ago.

Salvini also came out in favor of a diplomatic settlement of the conflict and holding negotiations instead of supplying weapons.

After the conflict ends, in his opinion, it is necessary to restore Italy's economic, trade, and cultural ties with Russia.
