Lavrov: The U.S. did not offer Russia "trade-offs" on settlements regarding Iran and Ukraine

The United States has never offered Russia "trade-offs" involving a settlement on Iran in exchange for a settlement on Ukraine.

This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"I have read about such speculation that the U.S. will help on Ukraine if Russia helps on Iran. As we say, bargaining is out of place here. Such rumors were floating around somewhere. Our American interlocutors have never proposed trade-offs of this kind. And I think they did not do so because they understand perfectly well that these are not our methods, to engage in this kind of politics, in such political games," he noted.
