Russia's military base is costly for Armenia — parliament vice speaker

The Russian military base is costly for Armenia, but Yerevan is ready to discuss both its withdrawal and its retention, said Vahagn Aleksanyan, vice speaker of the Armenian parliament.

According to him, the Armenian side has not received any statements from Moscow about an intention to withdraw its base from Gyumri (earlier, the deputy head of Russia's Foreign Ministry reported that Russia had also not received any appeals about this from Armenia).

If they [Russia] want to withdraw the military base, they must declare it. If they do not want to, that is also a topic for discussion. We are ready to discuss it.
