Guterres believes uncontrolled AI is an existential threat to the world

Artificial intelligence (AI) slipping out of human control is one of the existential threats to the planet.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres made this statement at a press conference.

"We cannot afford to ignore the concerns that have been expressed, especially by those at the forefront of AI development," the head of the world organization noted.

The official is convinced that AI could be one of the main dangers to the existence of humanity. "At a time when the world faces three existential threats — artificial intelligence that has gotten out of control, the climate crisis, and unacceptably deepening inequality — international cooperation is needed more than ever," Guterres emphasized.
