Armenia and the United States discussed holding joint military exercises

New areas of cooperation between Armenia and the United States in the field of defense were discussed.

As Armenia Today reports, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Andrew Loomis.

During the meeting, issues of peacekeeping activities, military education, the training of sergeants, instructors and junior commanders, as well as the holding of joint military exercises were discussed.

Andrew Loomis stated that the United States will continue its existing programs with Armenia and is ready to discuss deepening defense cooperation in new areas.
