A tanker came under fire in the Strait of Hormuz, and a fire broke out on board, which was subsequently extinguished.
This was reported by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center of the British Navy.
"UKMTO has received a report of an incident in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel's security officer reported that the tanker was struck by an unknown projectile, which caused a fire on board. It was subsequently extinguished. All crew members are safe," the statement said.
