Shooting at a Philippine school: 6 dead, 17 wounded

Six students were killed and another 17 were seriously wounded in a shooting at a school in the southern Philippines.

The tragedy occurred at Banga National High School in the province of South Cotabato on the island of Mindanao. After the incident, classes at all schools in the municipality were suspended.

According to preliminary data, the shooting was carried out by one of the students. The suspected attacker is dead, and law enforcement agencies are establishing the circumstances and motive of the incident.
