Man executed in Iran on charges of spying for Israel
Iran has carried out the death sentence against Hossein Paderan, who was accused of espionage and cooperation with the Israeli intelligence service Mossad.
As 1news.az reports citing Iranian media, the sentence was carried out after his appeal was rejected and the verdict was upheld by Iran's Supreme Court.
According to Iran's judiciary, Paderan was detained on charges of passing confidential and classified military information to Mossad. It is claimed that he gathered information about military facilities, personnel and some of their personal data, and passed it on to his handler.
According to the case files, Paderan also received funds in euros for the information he provided. In his home, the judiciary stated, a notebook containing materials on missile-related topics marked "top secret," encrypted data storage devices, communication equipment, and photo and video equipment were discovered.
