Representatives of Armenia are not taking part in the observer mission of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly at the State Duma elections, the head of the CSTO PA group of international observers, Rustam Shohmurod, told RIA Novosti.

"No, Armenia is not here, they have suspended their participation in the CSTO. They are not here either. That is their decision," he said in a conversation with the agency.

Armenia froze its participation in the CSTO in 2024.

On the single voting day (SVD) of 2026, elections of deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation will be held, as well as direct elections of top officials in 8 regions of Russia. In total, more than 2,200 campaigns of various levels are planned for SVD-2026, with 20,700 deputy mandates and elected positions expected to be filled.

Voting is taking place over three days — from September 18 to 20.
